Luke Nguyen Announced as Global Cuisine Ambassador for Vietnam Airlines
A massive congratulations is in order for big boss Luke Nguyen, who was recently announced as Vietnam Airlines new Global Cuisine Ambassador.
Chef Luke Nguyen has joined Vietnam Airlines with plans to design a menu of “mouth-watering culinary creations” to be served on board. His dishes will be introduced on the business class menus of flights departing Australia to Vietnam, and he’ll also have input into the current offering of 50 dishes served globally.
Luke says he’s looking for new ideas to spice up the airline’s culinary offering.
“Menu planning sky high is very complex,” he says. “We lose about 15 to 20 per cent of our taste at 50,000 feet and finding a food offering that has authentic Vietnamese flavours to suit different passengers isn’t easy. I look forward to the challenge.”
“The Vietnam Airlines collaboration is a very exciting partnership for me. I’ve always been impressed with how much pride they take in providing top quality cuisine — so for my dishes to take off in such a big way is pretty special. I’m already dreaming up my next idea for the airline.”
Vietnam Airlines operates 17 flights a week from Australia, so why not book your next holiday to Vietnam, and don't forget to drop by Luke's GRAIN Cooking School in Ho Chi Minh City.
