CHEF LUKE NGUYEN DEMYSTIFIES ASIAN HERBS - SAWTOOTH CORIANDER
This week, let us introduce you to Sawtooth Coriander. With its long leaves and serrated edges (hence the name sawtooth coriander); you could mistaken this plant for a garden weed. Look closer and savour the aroma of this hearty herb. ⠀⠀
Usually eaten raw as an addition to salads or a garnish for soups, the sawtooth coriander has a more robust flavour than your usual coriander.⠀⠀
At Red Lantern, we use it to finish off our wok tossed seasonal vegetables with glass noodles and curry paste. It elevates the dish to another level with its punch of vibrancy. Order our Saigon Scrumptious Tasting Menu for this baby wok tossed with bug meat (to die for!).⠀⠀⠀⠀
Why not try some this week?⠀⠀
